I mentioned elsewhere that there was a new commercial property being developed near Sycolin Road and Battlefield Parkway here in Leesburg called Sycolin Corner. There's also another huge tract of land being developed just a cat's throw away from that called Oaklawn. It's a combination planned residential community (PRC) and planned employment community (PEC), with 326 residential units, office and retail space, and a hotel. The abandoned section of Tolbert Road runs along it's South border.
The Oaklawn development is going to have ten restaurants, thus greatly increasing our options for dinner on Bowling Night and Game Night. Hopefully one of them will be a Hard Times Cafe or Sweetwater Tavern. Having either of those in Leesburg would be awesome.

I've been having a lot of fun checking out BoingBoing, the directory of wonderful things lately. I found a list of Ways To Be Cool, one of which is eXXXtreme everything. Xydexx is eXXXtremely squeaky, though, so that's like giving me advice I don't already follow. There's also mention of an Inflatable Trans-Am, which would be the sort of car Xydexx would drive. This is not to be confused with the Air Car, which looks delightfully weird. It's a car that runs on compressed air. Zero emissions. The AirPod is my personal favorite, because it looks like some futuristic vehicle you'd find cruising around on an alien planet. You drive it with a joystick.

Xydexx has put a temporary stop on developing an army of robotic ponies at his research facility at Breakneck Mountain. There are... other things that need attention at the moment. We continue to give thanks to Lambert Lambert (the happy mutant who is so nice they named him twice) for his assistance in conducting this Important Research. Together, we can keep the internet shiny!
